I know ill get a lot of crap for this- i just wanna say dont get me wrong I love COD5 and what Treyarch has done with it, i love it even more than cod2 and 4. As a mapper i wanted to share a few flaws I saw that sort of upset me when i see them considering they are easy fixes that should have been noticed, simple things like surface rotation on the wood and some floating objects.

Yeah I noticed some of these ingame as well. Though they shouldnt be there we have all done it.

In a sense, it is good to see that the professionals do make mistakes too.

I agree yet I don't...those are some very basic flaws that should never have gotten past beta test stage.

Good reason to bring the Visioneers back into play. Who were they, we were the best dang group of beta testers out there. Not many if any flaws like that got by us.

as for this...

I know ill get a lot of crap for this... no way, we thank you for pointing them out, we pay good dollars for , we want quality games. How many times have you as a mapper gone back and made changes to correct just those sorts of flaws and you don't get paid for it?

I haven't seen poop from Devs about anything that people are having trouble with in the PC section of the official site.

In mp_seelow theres a floating axe some where around the edge, but then again, FarCry2 also has a few floating objects and plants inside trees

Yeah there are plenty of times where I make mistakes and end up going back and re-releasing some maps, and I know everyone makes mistakes and miss stuff but I never/rarely saw anything as bad as some of these in Cod2 or Cod4 -No offense Treyarch

I was thinking to myself, if they reeeeeaaalllly wanted to, they technically could go back into the maps- if they still have all the originally map files which im guessing they do, and fix the issues and release a patch with the new (fixed) content.

OH BOY!!!!!!! what we will do? The wood texture is not on the right side in some staircases!! What I will do for the sandbag 1 unit above the ground??? I think I'll start a petition...We must boycott this game!! or I'll ask for a refund... these flaws prevent me to play.

Frankly, go get a life!!!

Name me only 1 game that doesn't have any "flaws" or "issue" like you are saying. I won't sleep tonight because of your finds... Are you sure you checked everywhere? Maybe there's a grain of sand on the floor? They forgot to pass the mop?

I think it's great that you've found things like this. It shows that even the professionals make mistakes(which we already knew but it nice to have fresh proof). I would have thought that they would have picked up on things like this during the beta. You will proberly find tryarch would love to hear from you, they might even release a patch to fix them

I noticed a few things, mainly splits and floating objects, but nothing that has effected gameplay. A few times i have seen what best described as a dummy spawner appear in the gamezone, this is basically an actor normally used 'outside' the playable zone to add depth, they dont seem to use the same logic as normal actors so basically either run with little animation or just stand there (and wont die)

Now from what i said about how i thought this game would be over the last few months i really am surprised at just what a good job treyarch have done. I lowered my expectation to such a level i was concidering whether or not to even rent the game but so far im loving it.

A few things are a little strange but to be honest im only picking them because of game design experience, things like the german soldiers seem to use a similar logic to the japanese meaning they keep charging the player, and the few sniper missions (if you done them you should know what i mean) seem to be scripted meaning if your in sight of the enemy actor (whether you can see it or not) you will die.. but thats juts being picky really.
