I would of thought so as its probably laid out:

Allies =

America
Russia

Axis =

Germany
Japan

So as long as you have an allied vs an axis the game will work fine. This means that those of you who are not to fond of the pacific and russian theatres can still make some Normandy maps for USA vs germany

I call it COD5 all the time, it's quicker to type than CODWW and makes sense [lol]

the tools i saw were indeed radiant based - so the learning curve for those familiar with the toolset should be minimal.

environments, physics and sounds are going to be some of the attributes that will require "learning" from what i witnessed

can someone explain me why the cod tools have to be like they are and not like this ?

the way ubisoft did it is what it seems much easier and creating just as nice maps as the more skillfull mappers in the cod series.
It seems to me after seeing this that activision dont care so much for its mappingcommunity as ubisoft by putting the effort in like ubisoft does.
again it seems to me like this so im just talking for myself, perhaps its not even possible to make it like this but i dont know that.
