How can ik make a curve, like for example a cilinder with a cilinder. In radiant is was easy, but i can't find it in hammer editor.

Generally complex geometry is converted into models. However, you can make cyliders by using the block tool (shift B) and in the objects bar, change 'block' the default, to 'cylinder'.

i know that, but i mean a curve in the cilinder. I think that the pipes are al objects in the game, so is must be a cilinder with a curve......so ik think there is a tool in the editor for.

Is this the type of bend you want if so it is easy and thank you for asking I just learned some think new.



Make a brush say 128X128 X8 go to primitives arch change the number of sides to 8 and the arc to 90 click preview if you like it hit ok that easy.
Not sure how to fill in around the arch maybe you will have to make a brush over it then use clipper to cut around it go down to grid 1 for that if I use clipper it will crash hammer all the time on me.
Just run a test found a better way you will have to make a lot of brushes use the vertex tool to match the 2 ends of your brush to the 2 points of the arch you will have to go down to grid 1 for this have a look at this map file and it will be best to make all these brushes func_detail I did not I forgot to.

I just hit 200 posts in 2 years at this rate I will be 185 years old when I catch up with foyleman not bad sorry just in a stupid mood to day.

Small update after a read your post again I got to thinking this should be more like what you wanted I hope.
After you have textured it select the texture application tool then select 1 of the arch brushes then use the rotation buttons to move it round so it is a little off say 85 degrees I will not match so now use the texture shift button to move it in to place and do this with all of them until you’re white line or texture goes round the bend have a look at this vmf to see how it looks in game.
Sorry did not have time to tidy it up as it is 12.45am here now and I want some sleep hope this is what you wanted

Swampy: You said your clipper tool crashes everytime you use it....

The tool crashes hammer on my comp also. Ive found that if you use the "3rd clipper tool mode" the one that keeps both pieces when you clip that it doesnt crash the editor. To get the 3rd mode either click the clipper tool button 3 times or press "shift - x" 3 times. (You can tell what mode you are in by the white line that the clipper tool makes.)

Anyway I just thought I would share that discovery because it had me very frustrated before.
