Ok. I'm making a map of the inside of a spaceship.
the rest if the outside is a 3D skybox. What I want to do
is move the sky camera with controls in the level, to
make it appear to move around the landscape. Or
just have it move along a pre set path.
I've tried to get it to rotate too, by using a phys_motor
but couldn't attache the sky camera to it. I tried spinning the inner skybox too, but it just spins it with nonworking skybox texture. (ie it's blue and says "Skybox" on it in the game).
but when I try to rotate the outer one (the landscape one)
Hammer won't run the map at all. it says it can't find the file.

Any Ideas?

Thanks

I had the same problem in some of my tests earlier this year. You can't move the camera in the skybox and you can move the skybox like another entity. You can place brushes in your skybox and move them (like asteroids).

How about making a moving sky texture for the inside of the skybox?

Perhaps you can also test the idea of making an animated skybox texture
