It would appear that the cost of service may have caught up with IWNation. IWNation (iwnation.com) used to be a number 1 stop for mappers and modders of Call of Duty. However, today you'll find the site to be missing in action.

There were rumors that the site was not going to be able to afford to stay in business. The costs of hosting and bandwidth were reason. This is actually the reason we here at MODSonline are trying to gain subscribers... to cover these high costs of operation. It looks like those were not just rumors anymore.

Let me welcome all visitors looking to fill the void that the closing of IWNation may have left. We hope that we can help.

... And to IWNation... thank you for all you have done for the community. You will be missed.

Please check your facts on the future of IWNATION.

Yup.. it looks like the site was just down for a couple days.

But it doesn't change the notice on the front page of the site that they will be closing this month.

I can't beleive someone would take the problem of someone else and turn it into an add for themselves. Interesting how you have burried them alive. That's low bro.

the site (iwnation.com) was unconnectable when this was reported, and given the recent posts and news at iwnation.com, the future of the site is uncertain at best

there was no ad for modsonline anywhere in this....there was merely a statement that people that frequented that site were welcome to fulfill their mapping requirements (questions/thoughts/ideas) here

and a statement as to why modsonline is looking for subscribing members

dont be hasty to judge, as alot of conversations take place that you are not privvy to....and we do the best we can here

hmm... let's break this down....
I stated:
- their website is down ("missing in action")
- rumors that they can't stay alive (posted on their front page)
- the reason is financial (something that we have in common, financial difficulties in running a site)
- we welcome anyone coming from their site
- and a thank you to their site as well as saying they will be missed.

I am sorry.. did I say something wrong? IT's true.. I will miss them.

Taking advantage of them would be to start posting on their site that their visitors should start coming here. It would be to put up a banner and start publisizing the fact that they are going away and we are here. It would be actively recruiting their members via their forums.

Let me again close with the same closing I made previously.
