Using my laptop to run some player made maps (done it before months ago); but now when I try to bring up the console by clicking ~ and nothing happens.

Any reason why this may be happening?

Open your config.cfg (or config_mp.cfg) file in your players/../profile folder. Do a search for the word "toggleconsole" and see what key is in front of that.

If it's the ~ key, make sure the console isn't accidentally out of your viewing range on your laptop (check the resolution setting of both your laptop and CoD).

Try holding shift+~, that should pull down the console to fullscreen.

I checked the resolution and that isn't the issue. I tried SHIFT ~ and that didn't do anything. I opened both .cfg files and they have ~ in front of toggleconsole. In fact, I dont remember ever even touching either file. It's real strange because it worked the last time I used it (a couple months ago); and now it isn't.

Just a quick thought

Go into the menu

then go to options

then go to game options

Check if enable console is on or off

Turn it back on if its disabled....
