Well got another question again :$ Tried it myself for like atleast a hour but i didn't succeed. I have two train tracks, where i want one to split to make a total of 3 tracks. Now i tried to rotate the Z point slightly but it just looks horrible and the track doesnt fit on the other parts. So i was wondering if there is a good way to do this?

using a custom xmodel would be easier, 'cause you can use a 3d app to create it

Keep experimenting with brushes and patches, if you want that exact piece of train track made then it shouldn't be too difficult, you can always ask someone here to make it for you and explain how they did it.

Personally I'd probably make the whole thing out of brushes, or if I was being picky I'd make the rails out of patches.

Yeah untill now its nothing but brushes, but its hard to bend it, and still let it look naturally, ill keep trying and keep watching this topic in the meantime :p

definitely use patches for the rails...worked great for me

you could make a curve to the right shape

curves will be smooth but make a lot of tris
make just the minimum with curves

hit "curve to terrain" in the patch menu once u have a few tris...this wills top it creating more as you manipulate it

you could use a regular brush and press E and move the vertices around.

lol I give you a hint, bend all your vertices(rows) in your meshes at same time.

or, you could take the lazy way out, add a big pile of dirt at the intersection, or some really thick grass. =)

Ihad the same problem in TF2. just make a few rail ties, copy'em hit r and rotate them and make a nice little curvy bendy track. honestly I think using patches would be kinda chaotic cuz then you got a chance at a space between vertices unless you got to all the intersections and move every single one.
