I've been having issues as of the moment compiling my map into a bsp, so it seems my radiant refuses to do it on my one map that i've been dedicated too for the past couple of days. Here's my Compile BSP log:

Press any key to continue… Everything seems normal but a few things are missing that I cant find. I only have basic brushes/terrain and a few basic bog doors. I Compile reflections...everything goes normal then do the Fast File and get this:

Nothing out of the ordinary, .csv isn't in place yet... when I go to load my map it just goes to the main screen. I've remade the skybox, and tried to look for errors but i cant find squat.

code bug: triangulation failed!

there is your error... basically..it means there is something wrong with your map.. A very annoying error, because it doesn't say WHAT is wrong

A few possible solutions

1)You have too many patches in your map. CoD can only handle so many (terrain)meshes, so if you made your whole terrain out of alot of meshes, remove some and see if that helps. Replace flat terrainmeshes by brushes.

2) Do you have a working backup .map version of your map? If so, the error is in the things you added since your last compile.. take the backup and continue from there or take out the stuff from your .map which you've added since your last working compile.

3) Copy half your map into a new map, make skybox and compile. If it compiles, it means the error is in the other half of your map, if not, it's in that part.. do the same over and over again until you've figured out what is causing it.

says cant find csv
every single one of my maps have had this error
and i could not figure out why it would not create the csv folder for me
so what i did is made a default .csv and just rename it to the map name and put it in the directory it requires
then when i create the fast file it overwrites it with proper info

works for me
who knows

I can run the map but the bsp fails to update itself. It's a very outdated version of my map and it acts as though i've never compiled after that YET I have, and tested the map with the updates. It just started refusing to let me test it now. I know it's not the program as I tested another map and it's working fine. I'll look into patches but I really didn't go overboard on it.

Finally figured it out! Some stairs I had were clipped oddly and caused it to look like they were flat when they were 3d. I just deleted them and remade my stairs. Something with you clipped will cause this error EVEN within a prefab.
