when i press 1. Compile BSP the black screen pops up for only 2 seconds, and it says its done, cant be good cuz i never saw the %xx thing, then i move to step 2 and compile reflections, the game starts up with black screen, it doesnt show the little previews of the reflection probes, then it goes back to pick profile screen, then i press make build fast file, and i get error msg -> Quote: Fastfile 1 of 2, "mp_shivpro": [ver. 5] process... ****************************************************************************** UNRECOVERABLE ERROR: EXE_ERR_COULDNT_LOADmaps/mp/mp_shivpro.d3dbsp Linker will now terminate. ****************************************************************************** ================================================== Linker summary: There were 0 warnings and 1 error. This error means it cant find your d3dbsp, so its either in the wrong directory, or you map did not compile into a d3dbps. Recompile your map, and copy paste your compile log into this thread. At the bottom of your main compile it will say "couldnt load map/mp/mp_shivpro.d3dbsp", which means you have an error, posting your compile log will allow us to find this error.

it doesnt let me copy it so easy ..weird, cuz when i select all and press copy, it thinks i press a key to exit :/ , not sure how i copied that other one tho ;S

Oh it was enter :p Er bestaat al een submap of bestand C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\raw\maps\mp\ means There already excist a submap of file C:\.... i didnt map for long time, and yesterday when i opened editor, it gave shader error, i read a forum how to fix it, had to copy shader to some maps, it didnt work tho, then i saw a link to patch.. that did work.. maby this is my problem ? _source\mp_shivpro.map Material 'carcass26decal' is missing Material 'carcass26decal' is missing misc_prefab at (1827 862 197.5) has no model . is def your problem usually this occurs when you right click the 2 d and choose to add a prefab or model and then you cancel out without choosing one look for a pink or orange cube just sitting somewhere with nothing attached to it and delete it

ok thanks it worked, i saw a pink cube and deleted it @Nemo06c - mods dont cause it, i have promod3/pam4 and some custom aim maps, and maped since the tools came out, never had problems till now edited on Aug. 24, 2008 04:52 pm by shivix

ok great im glad i could help and i have also never had a problem with other mods and custom maps on my comp i started mapping way after starting to play modded servers never had any issues i have started a mappers guild help desk on xfire go to http://www.xfire.com/clans/mapper/ if your interested

carcass26decal is from a custom prefab, which i thikn is what nemo ment. And if its the one i remember I think he updated that prefab with the right textures. When you go to choose a model or prefab and you cancel it, ALWAYS hit delete, to delete the 'origin cube' before you continue mapping.
