Custom multiplayer maps are never being used on servers, only in the zombieservers.

And why would I join your mod if mine was still up? I was ahead of you in planning and yet now you are complaining I didn't wan't to join CotC?

And why are you mentioning HL2 and Crysis? I started on those subjects this week so why are you complaining I haven't got a modproject yet..?

As for my mod, how could I possibly create it alone? I don't know singleplayer scripting, I don't know how to model, I don't know how to skin, infact the only thing I do know is how to create a singleplayer/multiplayer map - I had hoped people to join but not many signed up (or atleast not people with decent skills).

JOIN THE REVOLUTION

Oh, I thought I was back in the 60's for a moment.

I would like to see a Civil War Mod with Blue and Grey skins and all the mappers could make maps from historic battles. Make modded weapons that look like muskets and cannons and the whole like. We have one shot to shoot enemy and it would take like 20-30 seconds to reload. LoL Now that would be a mod.

Four days ago I asked you if you wanted to help on CotC. You refused. At that point your modification wasn't up anymore.

Well, I don't want to flame, but I was able to find people for my mod, so why wasn't you? And I've also told u @ msn to change the content so that you're able to do it alone, but u refused that as well. What you're doing right now is fingerpointing to the community, it isn't our fault that your modification failed.

Now I'd like to go back on topic. We right now have 3 researchers, 3 mappers and 2 modellers. We're currently looking for one more skinner and then we're all done. Anyone that's able and willing to help please contact me.

Yes just say go on-topic so I can't reply anymore..

When did I ever say my mod died because of the community? It died because I didn't have the support I wanted to, I can't blame them for that it is their choice.

And as I said, I did have people signing up but they did not have the skills needed.

Besides another reason why I didn't join your project is because I know you don't like me and you will never finish it anyway, if there were other people in the leading team I might have joined.

That's my word i'll now go away. [thumbs_up]

These forums are for helping people. If you want to throw mud at eachother, go do it somewhere else.

yes, but people dont have much time too and there are a lot noobs (sorry!) taking all my motivation

let me explain: when i tried to find guys for a mod project, i got a few messages and found a couple mappers. there were several problems, i had less time than i hoped and especially that no 3d artists, experienced scripters and project leaders joined the project. i still believe that i had the best skill of us. if anybody had asked me i would have said "i got just a lil skill" tho - so dont expect and plan too much DaveR. it´s maybe not a lack of interest, it´s the optimism of the people. they think its easy. you what then happens.

Right now my planning is to reskin the russian actors. Making new animations and 3dmodels for the characters adds a lot of stuff to the modification and I want to be certain that we can release something, so I've made the decision to do only the things that are needed and leave all the extra stuff out.

CoD5 = americans vs japanese + russians vs germans. So if we replace the russians for the dutch we have our mod. :)

Some things where a scripter is needed cannot be forseen. In such cases a good overall knowlegde at scripting is needed.
