Hey guys when im compiling my map it compiles perfectly fine. But as soon as i put up like a skinny billboard of this picture i made in .dds format it f's up and just wount compile, give me a error...

but the funny thing is im using a sky that works and it throws that in there saying it cant be found. using the powcamp sky, and it dosent even say my custom texture even tho i know thats the prob....help please.....

The missing sky shader warning is normal from what I remember. I don't quite understand what you mean about your custom texture problem though.

Oh, OK. I didn't scroll down enough. It looks like your custom texture is using an unrecognized surface alias. What's the name of your texture?

Im trying to add billboards or just signs to my map....but when i do and i go to compile it i get a error and it wount even compile the map, like at all...

As P.C. invasion suggested.. and you yourself too.. the error is in your custom texture.. so go over the tutorial again and remake those textures.

when im using it in game, since im making a bilboard should i texture the entire thing or should i use caulk on the sides and back? or what other texture should i do since its going to be like right on a wall??

Just like with any brush, make it caulk and texture only the sides you can see.

This is my entire compile log, and it still wount let me compile, i go to those brushes positions and everything but there is honestly nothing that looks wrong with how they are. They are mainly in walls to the inside of my building.....

"shader type 'world/surface' not found"

What is the name of your custom texture? It can't find a shadertype (*.stype) file for your texture. Did you make a custom *.shader file for your custom texture?
