Hi I have been trying to make a .pk3 this is my second map and I was able to make my first one with help from this site and the first works ok. this is the way I have done it but now it isnt working againg

1st. I make a folder on my desktop and call it /maps and in it I put (mymap).bsp and (mymap).ass

2nd. I make a folder on my deskop and call it /scripts and in it I put (mymap).arena

3rd. I make a folder on my desktop and call it levelshots or screenshots I have tryed both and in them I have tryed both (mymap).jpg or I have tryed (mymap).tga

4th. I use winzip to zipit up and call it (mymap).pk3

it all zips fine as far as I can tell but the only way I can play this is by either using /sv_pure 0 /devmap (mymap) or by /map (mymap) I cant see it in the menu and I dont know how to play it multyplayerike this any help please

ALSO I have tryed using packscape to zip it as well nothing is working..if anyone has the time mabey some one would be willing to look at my map :)

It's been awhile, but if it's on your desktop doesn't it make the folder /doc*/user/desktop/maps instead of /maps in the PK3?

the problem I was having was a compile issue..I figured out that I wasnt using the right one when compiling I was using test compiles but the desktop version I gave works now cause when you zip the folders up you change what it is by calling it a pk3..at least it works for me helps me to find my work easer if its on my desktop :)

I was talking about the "path" inside the file when you "save full path info" that wouldn't change with the extension of the file (*.pk3, *.zip)

Aslong as you have it covered now... [wave]
