Probably a lighting issue, though it actually looks like another texture all together.

Any errors in your compile log?

I would check for overlapping brushes too, they can do some strange things to a map.

If you look close you can see it lines up perfect with the other texture [thumbs_up]

It actually looks much better though, if you find out what has happened it may be an idea to try and do the whole wall like it.

True Rasta but if you look in radiant at grid 1 it is sometimes surprising to see what you find.

I agree, the "bad" texture in this case looks better than the rest. [lol]

MtOLostcom if you still cant get it fixed feel free to send me the .map and I will gladly take a look at it for you. [thumbs_up]

And the Winner is...CareTaker, LOL
Somehow I got another texture in there. The one I had been using was mtl_caen_wall_churchstone_01 and the new one is V_stonewall11 which does look a lot better. I will go back and switch to the new texture. I am not sure how I picked up the other texture, all other iwd and mods are removed from my main file.
Thanks to all for taking the time to respond to my issue, you guys are the best. John.

Do I get a cookie now?

The fact that the textures lines up so nicely shows how they made textures... take a base one (bricks) and alter the colour/balance/hue to make a new brick texture :p

LOL, cookey on its way. Chocolate chip with walnuts.

There is no difference when looking at the two textures until after compiling. Also the sun direction makes a huge difference. I went and change some of the textures but it is hard knowing I did it until after the compile.

Use texture cloning tecniques and you will avoid that problem and also achieve visual consistency (specially when texture is set to natural).
