Man its been a long time since I posted here, but anyway I need help picking out a laptop for college and I have no idea what is good or not so I was hoping someone here may be able to help. I have my eye on this one HP 17" Widescreen Notebook and its specs are: Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 4GB Memory 320GB Hard Drive Nvidia 512MB Discrete Graphics 802.11 B/G/N Wireless Vista Home Premium 64-bit with 2 year manufacturer's warranty I have no idea what all this stuff means but I really want a computer that is fast and could play games such as COD4 at least on medium settings. Oh and I have no choice I have to buy a laptop due to school rules. Thanks for any help!

I like HP laptops, however I never used them for games. My buddy swears by alienware. He can play BF2142 on that laptop. I hope Stryder sees this post as I believe he would know more about laptops and playing CoD4.

Well speed is my main concern. I am actually not even allowed to play games on my laptop this year anyway due to Virginia Military Institute regulations, which is where I am attending come August 23rd. Still though it would be nice to know I have the capability to play some modern games with decent quality.
