In your elevatorup() function, you call for 'down triggeroff()' without telling the engine what 'down' is.. hence the error.
You will get the same error in the elevatordown() function, where you call for 'up triggeroff()' without defining 'up'

add down = getent("down","targetname); in your elevatorup function. and
up = getent("up","targetname"); in your elevatordown function, so the engine knows what down and up are.
