Im working on my first night time map for COD4, and for some reason I have terrible light bleeding on almost every wall that has a light on the other side. Its not something that I have noticed on other maps I worked on because they were all daytime, but its not a tiny insignificant glow coming under the walls, but a lot of light that is bleeding into rooms and areas that are suppose to be totally dark and its making the map look quite bad to be honest.

Now, I have spent two days searching the forums and the internet and no solution I have found, mostly suggesting diffrent ways to build walls, has worked for me. I have built and re-built my walls a dozen times, and tryed everything I could think of to get the bleeding to stop and I for the life of me cannot get it to change at all. I guess my question really is, is there anything else to try other then re-building the walls that can effect the bleeding of light under walls?

A couple things I noticed in my many re-builds... If the room is totally sealed the light does not leak in and if the floor piece connecting the two sides of the door jam is removed, the leaking stops. Don't know if that helps at all, but figured the more info on the issue, the better.

Make sure your walls don't sit on the floor, but actually go lower..

Thanks for the reply Caretaker. Yea I know what your getting at there but even with my walls like that I still get the bleeding. Is there anything else that can be wrong either with the walls or settings with Radiant or anything?

Was about to post a new thread about this. Luckily, I searched and found this.

I experience the same issue, so I dragged my wall down under the floor.

And I also still have that weird lighting bleed. Any help?

Maybe try texturing the bottom of the wall with caulk_shadow?
