My pk3 tut for SOF2 (Q3 engine) with images is Here. Maybe it will help something click, if it is the pk3 that is bad...

Assuming your pk3 is good, you could be having conflicts with the original pk3's or your mod files... move the files that are still in folders (*.bsp etc.) so the only copies are the ones in the pk3...

I know most people blow me off when I say you should have 2 installs, 1 for modding, 1 for playing, but I say it for a reason!

Ok this is what im doing from start to finish..First I ...
build (final)-meta,-vis,-light,,-fast,-filter,-super2
then I have a folder on my desktop where i have named it a1<----the name of my map so far....then in it I was told all I need to put is a1.bsp,.tga,.arena.script.....then I have used diferent programs first i tryed .rar to .pk3 then I tryed .zip to pk3 then I used a program called pakscape to make a pk3 nothing seemes to work ;(

No, you have to create several other folders, too.

1. Create the folder a1 like you did.
2. Go into that folder.
3. Create the folders levelshots, maps, scripts in here.
4. Now put your levelshot into the "levelshots"-folder.
5. Put your *.bsp into the "maps" folder.
6. Put your *.arena into the "scripts" folder.
7. Now select all that folders and bring them into one *.zip file.
8. Rename your a1.zip (where the folders maps, scripts etc. should be in) into a1.pk3.
9. Put your *.pk3 file into your baseq3 folder. The map should appear in the map list now.

ok I did that but its still not alowing me to play with out the ~ /sv_pure 0 /devmap typed in ...would anyone alow me to send them my .pk3 and mabey take a look to see if im doing somthing wrong?

I think my issue is a compiling issue I deconstruckted a map some one sent me and reziped it and it worked but maby im wrong..

yes you did thank you so very much I guess i was looking for a bigger problem other than just spelling..lol it was so simple a mistake and people where teling me to check the path the hole time I thought thay ment where I was putting it in and not the spelling it wasnt map it was maps it wasnt levelshot it was screenshots and script wasnt script it was scripts DUh I feel so dumb..but you all where so great THANK YOU ALL!
