It was in either this episode or the previous, that I mentioned I hadnt used steam or any steam games including half life, and one of the shocked hosts was like "what?!!", which left me thinking... am I missing out? So I just orderd the Orange Box off Amazon, good decision? The Code Of Honor Demo was about as fun as hanging out with Randy Jones, horrible horrible game, bad animations, long cutscenes of just speech... rubbish.

Orange box is just a compilation of half 2, episode 1&2, portal and team fortress.. Great value and fun games if you never played any half life game before.. You will either love hl or hate it.. team fortress just feels like a 'mod' too me and portal is a puzzle game..

Wasn't it jynx? Doesn't really matter, personally i don't like anything with electronic file transfers give me a good ol' case any day. Though if you ordered it of amazon then why does this even have anything to do with steam? you will get a retail box like normal wont you.

yeah but apparently you still have to install steam inorder to play the games, infact you HAVE to have an internet connection to even think about playing the games.. thats what i read on the comments at amazon anyway.

Not completely correct. You must have an internet connection to install, but not to play. There is a way to set STEAM to offline mode after the games are installed. Of course, that means no online multiplayer.

Well atleast i'll finally get to use steam and know what every one is talking about. You know if you guys said in the show "hey go buy this game.." I along with alot of other listeners would probably go out and buy it. Instead of "hey.. these are the top game of last week".. how about "hey.. these are the games that we recommend". I would trust recommendations from you guys more than that of a gaming magazine.
