Got bored doing the same type of stairs, so I tried making some stairs that go up in a spiral fashion. It didn't turn out soo good.

Does anyone have a method of doing this? And which base would be easier to start out with, regular square or a cylinder?

I wanted to make a castle style spiral stair and the easiest way i found was to make a circular brush with the thickness that you want your risers to be and using the clipper tool, divide it into equal size segments (how many segments will depend on the depth of tread you want) Then, in the side view simply move the steps (segments) up so the bottom of tread 2 is level with the top of tread 1 and so on until you reach the required height. Hope this helps
