I found some neat textures for the oldie Quake 2 but I'm totally unable to make them work:

http://www.fileplanet.com/files/140000/147881.shtml

This guy Maric made them:

http://www.celephais.net/board/view_thread.php?id=26177

but i can't find any info about how to use the textures to actually play Quake II and not make DM maps.

With the original GL Quake using custom textures is quite easy, but I can't find any solution for the Quake II Engine.

In the original GLQuake I can make a custom texture folder in the base directory and then add this line to the desktop shortcut:

"C:QUAKETelejano.exe -width 1152 -bpp 32 -nojoy -data texturepack -data modelpack -data skinpack"

Then the Quake Engine, ported by Telejano, adds the textures, the skins and the models to the game.

Does anyone remember how we can use custom textures, models and skins in Quake II?

Thank you and Merry Xmas to you all [wink]
