Same problem here. What I didn't do when setting up the editor the first time was specifically point to where everything was in the configuration. To solve the problem, I deleted my config file so it would prompt me to start over. Open the following file with notepad and delete everything in this file then save it. Then you can re-run the editor and setup again. C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\yourusername\sourcesdk\bin\gamecfg.ini

I had the same problem. Just make sure your all the paths when you set it up lead to the folder that has your gameinfo.txt file in it. Game executable Dir... C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\youremailhere\sourcesdk Game Directory... C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\youremailhere\sourcesdk\cstrike_sample_content Map directory... C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\youremailhere\sourcesdk\cstrike_sample_content\maps
