If you cant move when testing ingame then most likely you are trapped in a big caulk brush.

I think that possibly you have a big caulk block in your map that you may have intended to use as the skybox or something and it is still there. Possibly you used it for your skybox but didnt hollow it out.

No way. My skybox isn't a big caulk texture. Its 4 seperate walls and a cieling and a floor. I spent a while zooming around checking for leaks, then used Pointfile, and it didn't show any leaks. Maybe I have something up with my worldspawn settings, so I'll check and correct those and get back to you.

I checked my worldspawn settings, and here they are:

_color 0.466667 0.525490 0.658844
ambient .2
classname worldspawn
diffusefraction .08
northyaw 144
radiosity 1.8 (?)
suncolor 1.000000 0.976471 0.874510
sunDiffuseColor 0.466667 0.525490 0.658844
sundirection -30 -56 0
sunlight 1.7

Only problem I can see is that for some reason, the Value for Radiosity is much closer to the key than the others. What I mean is that if the value of sunDiffuseColor is 6 or 7 spaces awat from the key, the value for Radiosity is about 1-2 spaces away.

Have I done something wrong?

That should be radiosityScale 1.8



Other than that I see nothing wrong. If the map is still dark you need to redraw the skybox with the caulk brush making sure it is not touching anything on the map. (If someting is touching the skybox that will give you the 'leak' error.)
With the skybox selected hit the (Hollow) button



After you hollow the brush select the sky material you want to use.

Question, how are you inputting the keys and values for worldspawn? The best way is in radiant with nothing selected hit the 'n' key, scroll down to worldspawn and type in the key and value then hit enter to apply.

Hey all. My map is finnaly working! You can see the skybox,. the map is lighted, nothing is rainbow colored anymore, and I can move around!

It turns out the problem wasn't the worldspawn settings, but the skybox. What LPRay suspected was true. It turns out a fat caulk block (lol) was covering all the map. When I was making one of the skybox's walls on the ZY axis, I forgot to shorten it up on the XY axis. [thumbs_up]

I do have a couple of questions, however:

1.) How do I equip the player with a new weapon

2.) Where can I find telephone wires (the smaller ones for regular telephone poles)?

3.) And I also need a trigger so that when a specified enemy is killed, an Ally moves to a specified cover node.

IIRC, blackout_geo has telephone wires that are built out of brushes near the back end of the map (away from the river).
