Does anyone out there know if we are limited to Maya for modeling for COD4, or can we use Lightray, Milkshape or Blender?

I've seen threads on this, but they are old.

Maya is the only one currently supported, unless a community member makes some plugins for other packages.

I've just written an xmodel_exporter script for Blender to COD2 based on the example xmodel_export file included with the COD2 mod tools. As far as I can tell, the xmodel format for COD4 is not much different.

I haven't yet invested in COD4, but if you upload an example of a working COD4 xmodel_export file to the Downloads section here on Modsonline and let me know the URL, I'll see if I can adapt the Blender script for you and other COD4 modders out there.
