Hi Folks! I got the following problem. I tried to import a selfmade Maya Xmodel (a BMW 850i).
The AssetmanagerConverting was without troubles.
I also didn't cross the MAX_FACES limit of about 36000 faces.
But when I try to import in Radiant, following errormessage appears.

___________________________________________________
Assertion Failure...
Expression:(indexCount <=gfxBuf.dynamicIndexBuffer->total)
(indexCount) = 620700918

Module: C:\Programme\Activ...\Call of...\bin\COD4Radiant.exe

File:C:\trees\cod3-pc\cod3-modtools\cod3src\src\gfx_d3d\r_shade.cpp
Line 590
__________________________________________________

After this error-message , radiant crashes!

Now, I don't know what's next?!
I tried to build another XModel in Maya (only a Square) and it worked!

Hello!

Probably late with the solution, but i will post it anyway for someone else having the same problem.

I tried to bring a train model model to the editor with Blender but the model itself had a lot of detail in it (handles, windows ect.) and the editor gave me every time the same error as above when trying to add as misc>model.

The Solution:

Make the model even lower poly count or if that is not an option you have to cut the model into pieces to import it.

I had to cut my train half then the radiant was able to handle it even though i did not exceeded the 2^15 (32768-1) poly count with the full model.
