Hi,

I map for a mod called: "The Resistance Mod" (www.theresistancemod.us.tt) and I made a map for it. But now I am in serious trouble cos I made the map to a .pk3 but not with the .map in it. Then I unistalled COD and now I only got the .BSP / . GSC / .PRT files over. But seriously I need my .map back  [ohwell] Maybe someone of U knows how to do that..

If there is a converter that converts .BSP 2 .Map's, can u tell me where? It will be much appreciated by me and my mappingfriends of the mod.

I hope someone knows the answer too :(
Otherwise I can start over again and the map was kind of 80% done and worked more then 100 hours on it now.
It is a very detailed map.

Reward: The one who gives me the tip how to decompile (lol nice word) can play the mod first with the mods betatesters.. [smile]

By the way.

It does exist I think because there was once a map the was the night version of pegasusbridge and in the readme was written that it was the original map converted [ohwell]

And no I don't mean the new pegasusbridge (pretty nice)..

Its easy for me to say now but ppl should always keep at least one .map bu in a temp or bu folder.
OK lesson over, sorry for that but it may just jolt other ppl into making a bu of theirs now!

I did read somewhere that it is possible to extract a .map from a .bsp but in the same read it said that it would be just about in an unusable state.

Sorry m8 but I do hope you crack it in the end.

Cheers A

CoDRadiant saves a backup every 5 minutes or something as a .bak [i think]. Do a search of all your drives.

I believe that system restore only restores your settings, not actual files, but it might be worth a shot.
