A Microsoft VP has confirmed that the company is already in the planning stages for a next-next-gen follow up to the Xbox 360.

Saying that "You can't sit back on your laurels in this business,"Microsoft EMEA (European, Middle East, and Africa) vice president ChrisLewis told Kikizo that the company is hard at work designing a new next-gen console.

Lewis is surprisingly direct about Microsoft's plans for a next-genconsole. "The consumer won't let you [rest on your laurels], thedevelopers certainly won't let us. So that's happening right now," hesaid.

"You'll see more [on a new Xbox] over time...certainly we're nottalking about the next version yet," Lewis told Kikizo, "so give us achance to catch a breath, will you?"

"Xbox 720"? What do you guys think the name will be?

Sexbox looks kind of eye-catching but I don't think that will be the new name.

I hope they give me the new xbox for FREE I think I deserve one after spending more than £400 on two 360s and have one RRD and a headset break and it tell me that the disc was for windows and not for the 360... and so make me buy another version of the game (it was a 360 game!).

They should really sort the first one out first, like many people i have had my fair share of RROD (3times)

Typical how they are thinking of the $$ and not what they should be..

I don't think they will sort the first one unless a trading standards comissions orders them to, which is unlikely.

I do enjoy playing the console as its, plug and play. As appose to my PC which is "set up>plug then play".

But the cooling issues with the 360 do not happen with my PC, after I send back my RROD'd one and get a replacement I will attempt to sort the cooling issue by simply ripping the components out and strapping them into a spare liquid cooled case. Thats the only thing I can think of doing in order to have it run, and yet not worry about it dying at any second.

Since my console ran out of warranty i basically took the case apart to keep it cool, seems to do the trick, if you looked at it you would think im some sort of hacker (im not btw)

I'm not really worried about time restraints on the warranty, as its to my understanding (I could be deperately wrong here as i'm too lazy to google it) that Microsoft put out a 3 year extended warranty on any systems bought before a certain date?
