Wow, been a while since I posted here, hy all. Anyways... I am pulling my hair out over this one for the last 48 hours. I downloaded latest patch...1.6. I decided to do a fresh install of game, mainly to flush out any mods I didn't play. Uninstalled game, installed, ran patches up to 1.4 I get an already installed error...tried 1.5, same error and the kicker, tried to add 1.6 same error...already installed and I NEVER TRIED TO INSTALL IT. okay, before you tell me to try a different download, BTDT - 6 times I have searched the internet, these forums and many others for a proper fix...tried a bunch of things, none work. I did a registry clean and manually looked for all Activision, Call of Duty, COD4 related files everywhere on my computer, including registry...there are none. Help please. try using the zipped patches that should get you around the problem
