I am pretty new to the COD4 map maker, so I apologize if this is a stupid question.

How do I turn off the texturing of the 2d blueprint like window? It's pretty cool but at the same time you can't see the grid so it slows me down. Is there any way to make it less opaque or am I stuck with it texturing the 2d window?

Open the preference window (Edit->Preferences) and uncheck the texture brushes- and patches in 2d window boxes.
