Who's getting one?

I am, after first price drop..
Gamespy broke an NDA and showed some benchmarks (gone now) and they arent that impressive over my Ti4400.. except with 4xAA, it takes about 0% hit with all the AA, and drivers not even optimised yet..

I'm probably going to wait for the first price drop though..

Thoughts?

Powe^2 basically..

outdoes the 4600 by 50 FPS easy, and on a beta driver..

get over 10k 3dmarks in 1600x1200, 4600 gets 6000

Looks damn impressive

Ahhh, the glorious benchmark game.

I've had two ATI high end video cards in my time, and I had problems with them both. As games came out, almost ALL of them seemed to have some sort of problem with the card or it's drivers. Half-Life needed some 'Radeon memory patch' and made the game run like crap.

Read all the beta benchmarks you like. Compare all the numbers you like. But in my eyes, if you buy a card before it's out, and in major circulation/use by a lot of folks -- and thus see how the card REALLY performs, you're kind of a fool. There's no point in rushing out for something like that, especially if your video card isn't that bad to begin with.

Hey, if you want to be the first on your block to get the best and greatest, all the power to ya. But I've been burned by the promise of greatness and speed, and gotten nothing but headaches and crappy drivers/support, that I'm VERY skeptical to buy new hardware 'right out of the oven' like that, most ESPECIALLY with ATI. I just cannot trust them and their driver support...it was terrible with every card of theirs I had.
