It seems after I installed Half-life 2: Lost Coast, I can't process maps correctly. When I test the map, there are no lighting effects. My light points are ignored, and the whole map is completely lighted. No shadows or shades or anything. Even if I delete all light sources, its the same. I noticed after I load the map, HL2 lighting is screwed up even in the single player campaign. I have to restart HL2 to fix this. Lighting in all maps and the single player is fine, but right after I load that map, or any maps I process for test purposes, it does the same thing.

Any way I can solve this?

I have not come across this problem, but I bet it has something to do with HDR lighting. That's what lost coast introduced to the game. It is also used in Orange Box, but that doesn't mean it wasn't fixed until that point.

I recommend that you check your compile settings in regards to this high definition lighting. Try rendering in the opposite mode and see if that helps.

I reset my configuration settings. That seemed to help. It does that weird lighting thing when I try to use the dynamic light entity.

Any tutorials on how to set up an HDR environment?
