my map is just about finished other then adding some fx and a loadscreen on both them them i`m stuck.

i have made the loadscreen and added it to my mod for testing but it will not showup,
this is how i have it.,

mp_airport01.csv in is my mp_airport01.iwd in the maps folder and the texture is in the image folder, i start the mod and nothing shows as the map loads in game the mini map is working fine.

any one know how to fix this?

would be nice to share what the problem was and how you fixed it so others might not suffer the same plight or make the same mistake tho

these threads kinda annoy me i have a problem of not knowing how to add a load screen to my first cod4 map and i log into this thread to learn nothing

i've seen at least a dozen threads in this forum with exactly the same problem or the necessary information how to solve it.

after 45 days the minimap was easy name it compass_map_mp_mpaname
loadscreen forget it i have more pugins than i can name i can make 2 differnt dds formats tga ,made minimap
but,,,,,,,,loadscreens made a dozen none will work and assets manager say when i use dds it a older form couldnt make it ,but idoes?? ,and none work
i have all forms of jepg,to dds tga of my loadscreen maps done want it over with or wife will kill me if anyone can make the working iwi please

im colmacgivens on xfire give me a invite and ill send the basic stuff just need someone to redo the save as and convert to iwi

i was also having problems with the loading screen and i did wat they have on the iwiki:

but my problem was in the 2nd half of the tut. I had no problem converting my dds, into the iwi but the problem was getting the "Run converter" to convert properly w/ w/e it was suppose to do. so wat i ended up doing was i went into my "raw/maps" folder and created "mp_sal.csv" (thats my maps name, mp_sal) and copied and pasted everything the "mp_test.csv" had but w/ only one difference. on the levelbriefing part, instead of having "$default" i changed it to "loadscreen_mp_sal" saved it.


i then went into "zone_source" and looked at a few "_load.ff" from other maps and copied and pasted "ui_map,maps/mp_sal.csv" into my missing assets on the compile tools. I also added the line "material,loadscreen_mp_sal" into the missing assets, rebuild my fastfiles and presto it worked.


after that i got the "loadscreen_mp_sal.iwi" from the images folder, "loadscreen_mp_sal" from material and "loadscreen_mp_sal" from the materials properties and place them all in their correct folders to make my iwd. and it all worked well once i had my iwd in the mods>sal folder and my ff's in usermaps>mp_sal. i now have a map with a working loadscreen. Im not sure if that will help some of you guys out....but hey give it a try and let others and myself know if that works for u too. assuming ur having problems with the run converter.

i tryed it and in compiler i get error cant load loadscreen and it turns white in mod or my server no loadscreen at all and it does have all the csv parts

i've actually read somewhere that since the patch 1.5 the minimap and loadscreens wont work ... now i cant really see this because i see many custom maps with loadscreens and i cant see them all being on 1.4 so there must be a way to do it
