You have crash landed close to an enemy military base, the enemy are aware of your arrival so expect heavy resistance. The LZ was missed by approx 1km. You, Price and Gaz must complete the mission at any mean necessary!

The crashsite is on the cliffs to the atlantic ocean, there is no falling back, this is shoot or be shot.


OBJECTIVES:
1) Regroup with squad

2) Establish communications with allies

3) Hold position untill reinforcements

4) Fall back to the docks

All the screenshots show the area clost to the crashsite (starting point) as you progress through the level you enter a military camp hidden in the mountains and thats just to start

*spoiler* Brief description of the intro:
Your crash land all dazed and on the ground.. eventually you wake to find your team pinned down taking fire from all sides. You must first regroup ith your squad.

Price gives you the order to find a link to communicate with the allies, fortunatly not far from your position is an enemy com tower. You must fight you way up the hill and establish a com link.

Unfortunatly now you have alerted the entire base of your action so you must hold and fight off many waves of troops, including snpers, rpg and dogs untill your allies get to your position.

When the allies arrive the lz is still too hot for landing so you must run a short distance down the cliff side to reach the supply docks where you will be greated with the allied blackhawks dropping in some supplies

What i would like to know is what you guys would like to see, anything that would in your eyes make a great sp map? Let me know :)

Heys guys just a quick update. Since my last i have changed the vision settings too give it a much better feel. Unfortunatly the screenshots make the map appear quite dark. Still too be honest im not a huge fan of night maps but this does actually prove to be quite fun.

UPDATED OBJECTIVES: (subject to change)
1) Regroup with squad

2) Establish communications with allies

3) Hold position untill reinforcements

4) Fall back to the docks

5) Proceed forward and capture the lighthouse

6) Clear the base of targets


Enterance to lighthouse (you must cross a small stream to enter the lighthouse, this stream powers the waterfall nearby


This is the merc base, also one of your objectives will be to clear this base and destroy a number of targets


The waterfall, to the right you just catch a glimpse of the base. At the top is the lighthouse


Just another shot as running tot take the lighthouse


Entering the lighthouse (only ground floors rooms with approx 4 soldiers will defend it)


Looking down from an early objective to the 'make-shift' docks below

The following is just a series of random combat shots that found its way here..







Let me know what you think. Im open to suggestions on what type of objective or anything you would like to see in the map. I was toying with the idea of creating a base underground, there are many access areas this could be easy incorporated into.. Let me know!

I have talked to a few people and they all say my map designs are of an 'unpopular' nature, in other words i like open land, fields etc.. with little structures but to please the majority i am currently commercialising my map.

I have replaced the first action area which was a com tower and small hut too a large 2 story building, it serves the same objective but make room for a much bigger (and very difficult) fight to take.



The entire building is quite dark, lit only with floodlights all tied together with electrical wires running through the house, nightvision just add to the difficuly here.

And the other area which i havn't much talked about is the base, i will be adding more but this to start, the building you see is 2 story but you can only access the bottom floor, it will serve as a type of 'stronghold' and im yet to decide if it will play a part in the storyline



And on a lighter note... still no comments, i take all feedback the good, bad or ugly. Jiust give it to me straight [thumbs_up]

Looks good. I don't know why people are complaining about open maps. In the older games I can understand, but in this one all the guns are accurate at range, so people stuck out in the open with an automatic are going to be able to defend themselves against a sniper a bit better.

Anywya, the little structures may well help with vis blocking and should cull a few grass models - though I don't think they're that expensive anyway

In every other version of cod all i ever used was a rifle. In the new wave of tiny sprayfest maps thats out of the question.......bring on fields !

Hey guys, thanks for all the comments. Much appreciate all the positive feedback.

I did design the map as SP, there are areas where you have to follow a single route to an objective which may not suit a mp map very well, also the size of the map. Its huge with over 14,000 different foliage models plus any additional models i have around the map. If you was to compare it to another map of scale then it's easily the size of that ponyri (something like that) for UO.

If it proves popular then mp is a very good idea as the map can easily be adjusted, thinking about it i may make the map less linear anyway, only problem with that on a sp map is it's hard to keep the player on the right track if you understand my meaning.

Also i would love too hear anything you would like to see in the map, i have posted a overview pointing out the landmarks and objective below. I have filtered all entites from the screenie.



If you refer to the image i was thinking about linking up the waterfall to the docks with a beach following the cliff line to the right (ie past the lighthouse) Let me know what else you think should be done as im not sure on how to tie the map together.
