I have rebuilt the, dawnville map (sp)
and added a new sky box and fresh setting. ( mp_carentan)
but now matter what I do
the map keeps coming out dark.
I have deleted all the settings and sky box and tried again but it just won't lighten up.
anyone got any ideas what I should be looking at.
now I cant even add any settings _colour ex

I have deleted all the maps and mods on my pc and I have
deleted everything in my source folder.
recompiled and the map is lighter but it still looks like a dark morning.
help please.

this map is mp and i've made a lot of changes,
test so far have been really good,
new routes, new buildings and blah bah blah.
still its dark so its on hold

Have you filled out the sun lighting properties in the Entity Dialogue menu? If so check your 'sundirection' angles, you may be trying to light your map from the underside. This could be one reason why your map appears dark.

Please post your worldspawn settings. It also seems you have quite a lot of lightmap errors. As well I should note the shader for the sky is missing. Attempt to use a different skybox and see if that helps.
