Turn down your radiosity and contrastgain in your worldspawn settings. You essentially have too much light bouncing around in your world. Also, shield off these areas with Caulk_Shadow if you want to prevent light from leaking through.

Hmm. How about putting in a light and making the color black? [casanova]

Got the same problem ...[banghead]

I´m doing a warehouse map and in it there is a tunnel whith a couple of faint red lights. I´ve been fiddling with the worldspawn settings but with no luck when it gets perfect in the tunnel. It´s to dark on the upper levels and vice versa ...[crazy]

Any suggestions would be grateful. Because everything else is nearly finished

I don't know if you can achieve pitch black. You'd have to make your worldspawn light set to 0 0 0 to get black, then put in lights to compensate where you do want light.

Light in areas that don't have access to any light source is defined by the ambient light variable (I can't remember what the exact key name is, but it should be listed in the info box on the entity edit in radiant, it works on a scale of 0 - 1).

Setting ambient light to 0 will give you pitch black.

However: as nightvision works by multiplying the amount of light, if you use pitch black players will never be able to see anything in those areas even with nightvision.

Instead, try experimenting with low values of ambient light.

Do you mean the vision file? Make a vision file for your map and store it in raw/vision. Search the forums. I remember someone posting a thread about how to make a vision file.
