I have learned ALOT here looking around last 3 days here.
Thank you for some great tuts!!!

1st Question?
I am working on a Weapon mod for multiplayer
I Have the iw_11.iwd file in my new mod folder(which is about 144 megs)
Can I just have in that iw_11 file just my modded weapons??
Or do i need the entire 144 meg file?

Am looking at making the redirect faster with a smaller iw_11.iwd file

Hope that makes sense?[biggrin]

Edit**
After looking at some other mods
It looks like i just need the modded weapons in there?
Am I correct??

From what I have seen and done, you only need to have the weapons you are dealing with in the folder.

yes the iwd only needs the ones uve edited.

before making the iwd the modded weapon files work if ur running them from mod folder.mods/modname/weapons/mp.

what i did was copy the modwarfare .ff file and the ui_mp ,maps folders to my mod folder.this allows all classes and weapons.edit the modwarfare. gsc to restrict weapons, perks etc.
anything ive edited i just stick in its own folder,ie images, info, music etc.
for weapons use asset manager to open a copy of the weaponsettings_mp and edit ,then save and convert with new name, then copy that new weapon file raw/weapons to the weapons folder in your mod and rename back to origanal.run mod .
then make iwd file once uve got everything how u want.

srry if this makes no sense.
