Battle for Europe, results and updates!
Turn 2:
Yankee Company attacked platoons of Foxtrot Company that were stationed to defend the bridge in Littlefield, the battle was fierce. Foxtrot Company retreated back to the "Alamo" and the demolitions squad were about to blow the bridge when Yankee Company called in an air strike which killed the brave soldiers, another victory for Yankee Company. Echo Company planned to attack Athens at night when Zulu Company would be sleeping. However, there was a leak in intelligence and the Zulu Officers were able to order their men to setup defense for the oncoming attack held in the early morning. Echo Company were ambushed, they fell for a trap. The soldier who leaked intelligence has been court marshalled and was killed before dawn.
Turn 3:
Echo Company failing their night attack decided to attack the T-Junction in Faith. A difficult attack, that if won would be a turning point in this campaign for the coalition side. Yankee Company Officers were able to hold off the attack, Echo Company after a gruelling 10 hours of battling, retreated. Zulu Company moved in force to Vienna, the officers called in air strikes, choppers and even hit the city with raining grenades! Foxtrot Company were able to assassinate one of Zulu Company's Officers, however this just made them attack with a stronger force. Any survivors of the attack were taken as POW's and are been tortured in various devastating ways.
The battle of Kruezberg between Yankee Company and Echo Company was immense. Yankee Company defended the onslaught of Echo Company's attack, after a full 11 hours of strategic tactics and various air strikes, Echo Company called off their attack for another day.
The city of Rome saw Foxtrot Company defend against Zulu Company. A few of the Zulu Company Officers were born in Rome, so they knew the ins and outs of the city. They were able to use this to their advantage and flanked Foxtrot Company on various occasions. Foxtrot Company were unable to hold the city.
2nd Royal Tank Regiment attacked 7th Surreta Regiment stationed in Wittenau. Their attack was a success after destroying the city with ease using numerous air strikes. Soldiers of the 7th Surreta Regiment were unable to defend against the air strikes and pulled back allowing the 2nd Royal Tank Regiment to claim victory over the city.
Turn 4:
Yankee Company attacked and took Amsterdam, Echo Company stationed in the city were left without reinforcements and supplies, so were forced to retreat. Foxtrot Company defended Notre Dame against Zulu Company. However after Zulu Company were able to capture one of the Foxtrot Company Officers and assassinate the dedicated soldier on air. Foxtrot Company grunts fled like cowards from the city, allowing Zulu Company to move in and make a new home.
After the battle at Wittenau last turn, Zulu company deployed several platoons to take the city back. Echo Company were unable to defend against the attack and were flanked by 2nd platoon, Zulu Company claimed victory after capturing and torturing the surviving Echo Company NCOs.
Yankee Company strategically attacked Montmartre before dawn. They used night vision goggles and silencers to move in and take out Foxtrot Company.
We are now half way through the 1st Call of Duty 4 Campaign. With Opposition controlling a large area of Europe they are predicted to win, however Coalition can still come back and win this Campaign!
Battle for Europe now has a new Internal Co-ordinator, he will do his utmost best to keep the tournament running. His plans are to ensure that BFE stays a great community and we wish him the best of luck with everything.
With the addition of the new Internal Co-ordinator, the Battle for Europe staff have created a new Rule list, designed to keep Battle for Europe a fair and fun tournament. Players are advised to read through the new rules!
