why is it that when i compile my map with 2 buildings in it it works and the moment i try to compile my expanded map ie: added a bridge and 3 more houses it will not work?

i dont have my cod installed on c: program files or on the c: drive at all how can i now compile my map now? i tried changing the c:program files into the real directory that i have cod in but it doesnt work.

this means that you have a brush that is too big, more than likely a large terrain brush....use the clipper tool to break it into smaller pieces

post your install directories (the EXACT paths where you have cod installed...uo installed...and graydiant installed
also supply me with your .map name (what you called your map)

i will put together a .bat for you [angryalien]

the map is just a little test map and its not really readdy yet but its called koen1

but if you make a .bat file for me then i can change that same file to fit my other maps i geuss...

hello!

Well I have been trying to find my own way on how to compile a map for CODUO and I think I have found one, that's much easyer than those that I foud in this forum :biggrin:

Well it goes somethin like this:
First of all I created a map in coduo radiant, saved it and then I copyed the map file and I paste it in the maps folder of old call of duty and I just compiled it with normal cod compiler.
Then I cut my bsp and all other files and put them back in CODUO maps folder. And then start playing :) well, you can just change the path in cod piler...
well I must say it works great for me. :devilishgrin:

2 big reasons why you shouldnt do this:

1) coduo has a NEW q3map.exe file that puts collmaps into your map as it compiles...this is especially useful for drivable vehicles...and neccessary to utilize some of the new features in coduo

2) coduo has a NEW flare.exe file that allows for the improved graphical performance and visualization of lighting and effects

though the way you are compiling will place brushes in the correct spot...it produces a far from United Offensive able map [angryalien]

Thanks Stryder you are right it's not working so great when I make something biger and when I add wehicles. But for that litlle map that I compiled it like that, worked fine :ohwell: So this means that I'm gonna have to take some of those tutorials in here. [wink] Well I can still use this for LAN ... :cry:
