hurray finally i found out how to do the fx right after i found an ace step by step tut by a guy called dogmahtagram
the barrel one didnt really help me much

the only problems i have left are these 2 effects
in the blackout map they are frogs sounds fx & fog_river_200
i am unable to find the frog sounds they used in that map anywhere ,and i can not get the fog_river_200 fx to work
at all ,i want it like in the blackout level ,has anyone had any luck with fog fx and how to place them right how would the raduis work ,all i have found on this fx is that the fog box texture in the blackout map has this entity info

come on guys !! some one out there must know how to get the fog fx to work ,its in both blackout river & overgrown dry river bed ,
i have been looking for help on this fx for about 2 months solid and am really starting to belive no one can do it ,my map is finished im just wating on this fx ,it needs to be like fog sitting on the water part of the lake i made

I have had no luck as well with the "placed radius" sounds as well.

I made a dog house and i wanted ambiant dog barking at random times throught the game along with triggered barking sounds when a player got close to the dog house.

hope you find out, if i get it i will let ya know and post for others as well.

real nice, did ya get some logs in that fireplace ?

also make sure you put some "hurt" trigger near it.

every get the local sound working, i have been looking for the frog sound and cant seem to find it, i am looking into importing sounds and adding them as custom

this guys tut showed me how ,it the best one ive come across that worked ,all my fx are now easy.the most important bit is the creating a createfx folder in the raw\maps folder then copy and drop your mp_mapneme_fx gsc in there
and clear all info in it and only do the origin info in there!

no i could not find that frog fx still looking
i did try to put logs in but they were either dropping to low or floating so decided to make it gas lol

lol, i made some logs for mine and it looked pretty good, check your grid to .5 and you should be bale to place it with out issues

i think i understand so u mean that you can make the grid units smaller,which means you could make thiner brushes
i never knew that cauld be done but aways wiished it could be ,for instance the logs would drop in between falling below the fire log holder & and floating above it, thanks for the new trick please could you show me how i would do it
1. question would the rest of my map be thrown out of alignment if i did this late in its build
