well i was able to make rounded logs, take your grid to .5 when you place them in the fire log rack,

i am still working on mine,

i love how you detailed your ground with bushes, grass ect.

was there an easy way to do it, or just place piece by piece

mostly peice by peice really pianstaking work
but the are some models like grass clumps which are bigger but are very arkward to place on angles and some bits float or stick in the air
the fastest way i found to do it was to select a grass model
keep pressing space bar until u got say 8 units select them all hit space again ,then you should have say 16 with all of them selected ,make sure the 0 drop to floor icon is on! on the tool bar .then drop them where you want them ,hit space and repeat ,and so on speeds it right up

my map covers about 8-10 acres

hahaha! thanks but no thanks im still fixing up all the little errors where the grass has not dropped to the floor or overshoots an terrain angle & sticks in the air

also a tip when placing grass dont be afraid to mix it up a bit
change the model size & throw in differant types together
to make it look random growth
i always try to think what would look natual ,like long grass will turn brown ,where players might waklk it would be patchy & short ,just think what you see in the real world how things grow [wink]

also i noticed in your map pics that there are bots running around ,how do u add them for testing the map out
as i would like to find out how mine plays

also mabey you know the answer to this question
when you place the fx there are 3 angles in the origins
would you happen to know which is which becaus im having a problem with fog if i leave it at 0 it just goes up in the air
and looks stupid so far the best setting i found is 650 to get it flat but its not perfect still a slight angle , what im trying to acheve is a wide but flat spread ,dont want a lot of height ,sort of like a sheet just floating above the water
,just thought id ask because ive not found any info on them at all

for my logs i would select it, then hit "r" to rotate

I use the extreme mod for bots, great to test the air strikes and helo paths, i had to move my walls out about half an acre due to the bomb fragments getting stuck in the walls, i will zip it up and put it for download when i get home tonight.

I put it on my other computer and start it as a dedicated serv er, you can run it on one but it might run a little slow running 2 copies for cod4,
