Hi,

I dont own a server but i understand you can set up a temporary server which closes when you leave by going into cod4 multiplayer and 'start new server'.

My question is: How do you run custom maps on this temporary server?

Ive found tutorials to set them up on proper servers but not on one you host...

All i want to do is play a map I made with a friend or two.

put the map .iwd file in your Main directory

Sorry, where can i find my map .iwd?

create a map in your cod4 folder called usermaps. In your usermaps folder create a new folder(name of you map) and then put your .ff files in there.

something like this:
D:\cod4\usermaps\yourmapname\yourmapname.ff

Then go in cod4 click mods choose modwarfare(or any other), then type in your console /map mp_yourmapname
