For question 1 and 3 you need a .gsc file.

Please explain question 2 further.

1. This is what I did in CoD2 don't know if it works for CoD4 but you can try!
I took a original file where the fog is already in,
copied and changed the name.
I get in the map editor placed 2 misc_models and took out the origins(for begin and end) and set them in to the file.
Deleted the misc_models.

2. As far as I know it won't but don't know if it will be able in the editor.

3. Night vision should normal work already!
If not you could try this but don't know if this is for night vision.
In your mp_yourmap.gsc place this:
Quote:
VisionSetNaked( "mp_yourmap" );

And the file is like this (raw/vision/mp_yourmap.vision):
Code:
r_glow "1"
r_glowRadius0 "2.1"
r_glowRadius1 "0"
r_glowBloomCutoff "0.682"
r_glowBloomDesaturation "0"
r_glowBloomIntensity0 "1.00002"
r_glowBloomIntensity1 "0"
r_glowSkyBleedIntensity0 "0"
r_glowSkyBleedIntensity1 "0"

r_filmEnable "1"
r_filmContrast "1"
r_filmBrightness "0"
r_filmDesaturation "0"
r_filmInvert "0"
r_filmLightTint "1 1 1"
r_filmDarkTint "1 1 1"

Regarding your bumpy surface, don't bother with the brushes.

1. Make a Caulk brush roughly the size of area you want.

2. From the overhead 2D window, go to your tool bar and select Patch > Terrain Patch, and make it as large as you want. This will make a flexible mesh that you can manipulate. If you do this from the overhead view, you get a flat plane parallel to the ground.

3. Select the texture you want, and make sure it's not a decal texture.

4. Enter Vertex mode (V) and pull certain vertices around the XY plane, and up and down in the Z axis. This should make your terrain nice and bumpy.

5. Finally, make sure your terrain welds well to other meshes or brushes, be sure to put a large caulk brush under it to help with portals, and don't forget to add details like models and decal patches on it for realism.
