Hi guys, I've been absent for a while but i'm back with my old project. But i'm having some problems with it, the first problem is the lightning of the lamp models, i'm using a bunker lamp, I put in the radios and the light is not there, can some of you guys tell me how to light up that bunker lamp?

And the last question is that if I put a model of a weapon (a Kar98 for example) do I have to put something to make the player grab the weapon?

EDIT: great, now I put a light entity and the light doesn't show up...

You are on the right track, a light entity is needed in order for the game engine to generate light at your map location, which happens at compile time.

Whether or not a light model is present (an x_model or whatever) has basically no effect on whether light shows up in the map.

Is your light entity outside of any brush? Does it have a radius key and value? Without a radius key and value (in game units, otherwise known as inches) the light will not show up in-game.

Try reading the lighting tutorials for both COD1 and COD2 here at modsonline, they should explain it better than I can.

Thanks for the reply, I already added the value to the lights, I just needed to remove them from the wall.

And can someone tell me how to make a weapon model (like a Kar98) be selectable for the player (it's like you found the weapon on a table and you want to grab it but you need something to put because I already put a weapon model, a kar98, and it isn't swappable)
