Um. If you mean in custom maps, you have to actually tell it to use one.

i have found lots of neat sounds, how would one have a sound play a loop in a certain area of the map with a set radius,

kinda linke making a dog house and have barking sounds near it?

or have a trigger when you walk near it the dog sound would go off,

(bump)
no luck

I am finding NO tuts in the cod4 tuts section for ambiant sounds or local sound (for like fire or something)

I find them in cod/cod/uo but they dont seem to work for me in cod4

please keep it simple and make sure you explain everything, including files we might need to create .csv.gsc or what ever

thanks !

I just go tmy background sounds working,

if you look in your iw_07.iwd file in your cod4/main folder you will find a bunch of ambiant sounds,

I found out from Killer (thanks) that not all of them can be played as stock ambiant sounds,

next look in your raw\soundaliases folder for a file named "multiplayer"

next i did a ctrl+f search for the file i wanted, sad to know it was not in there, i was trying to get "amb_chech_night0v2_lr" to play as my background sound

well i did a search for "amb_chech" in the multiplayer.csv file and found the next best thing "amb_chech_night1v3_lr.mp3" not the exact sound file but close enough,

now to get the correct file to play, you got to look to the left of the file and find it's name that it's associated with

if to small hit this link

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b56/ubdragon/sound.jpg

the one circle on the right is the name of the sound file, the one on the left is the name you need in your

ambientPlay("ambient_blackout_ext0");

command

post your results, working or not, good luck xfire ub_dragon
