1. hey i was wondering how to let my teammates move along with me, like when the last german is down some trigger get triggered or something and my men move up the their next cover position?

2. how can i let germans keep respawning after i've killed them, like i'm sitting in a trench and there's a german counterattack, and after i've killed 1 he gets respawned again or replaced w/e

Sorry this is kinda late...

1. This is easy, a friendlychain will solve all of your problems. You can read about this in the tutorials section.

2. This is a little harder. You have to a script, as of right now I can't find the thing, but it is around here somewhere. Just search around and try and find it.
nullFew tips for coding.
1. Keep the script as short as possible.
2. Don't comment every line. Only comment portions where they may be needed to point something out.
3. Don't over complicate the script, keep it organized and easy to read.

These help you find simple errors and makes it easy to make changes.

2. Give your trigger spawn a targetname of 'flood_and_secure'.

about the friendlychain.. there isn't a tutorial about it and its doing so incredbly difficult.. can you please explain how to do it with the not chain node etc.?

i've fixed it long time ago, and i'll explain it for u. (maybe make it a tut, so they dont need to check the CoD section all the time?)

ok firstly:

Create a friendlychain brush around the player (right click on 2D grid, click info->player start, same but then trigger->friendlychain)

Then give the player a targetname of something, select all the friendly AI's you want to follow you with the chain. open the entity window and typ at key: target value: the thing u entered as targetname for the player start.

Then select the chain around the player, and link it with all the action nodes you wish your teammates has to go to. (so: select chain -> select action node -> press W -> select another node -> press W etc.)

Then if you want to move on again, create another chain somewhere behind or in front of the nodes whatever you prefer, and connect the last connected action node of the previous chain to the second one.

Go all the way on like this and there you go :)

oh yeah, this is a little bit strange and i mostly just enter alot of things, so if you do this it will work:

create a few german AI's and make them spawners.
open their entity window and look for ''spawnflags'' click on that and enter the number of how many times you want them to get re-respawned. Then add in that same window as value: count and as key: again the same number of how many times you want him to get re-respawned again. Then make a trigger multiple, open the entity window and enter as value: targetname and as key: flood_and_secure

and then it's done, as soon as 1 dies his replacement spawns and takes over his job.


(if you want to make a counterattack wich lasts pretty long, make sure you have enough replacings)
