Ummm im really pissed, 3/4 of my map is missing. my map files are still there nothing is hiding. All kinds of stuff is missing where did it go wtf ill never use doom editor again fuk kill everyone stab jesus

If i build another map what can i do to assure that this doesnt happen to me again. Does this have something to do with worldspawn or somethen i have no idea what caused this

Ok i found an autosave.bak file in my program files, it restored my map the way i had it before this happened. I dont know why that auto save was in program files, not in doom 3 but it saved my ass. So can i tell the autosave to make a backup into doom 3 instead of in program files. And by the way, the last thing i was doing before this all happened was cycling threw the particles folder and looking at decals. which ive never done until now, So i think the particle thing has some bug that eats yur freakin map up. thank satan for my autosave, i dont know why it was in program files but i hope theres always an autosave somewhere cus i know this bug is going to attack again which really blows. But if somone can tell me how to set up a path for autosave so i can have an autosave backup in my doom 3 folder instead of out in program files just sittin there thatd be cool, so i can just use my autosave next time this happens. I tried to see if when it autosaved in the editor if it went to program files, but its not doing that now so if my map gets dissapeared again i dont know what to do. so someone needs to tell me how to have the auto save go to another folder always so i have backup. Does any of this make sense? plz help and sorry for gettin all pissed but damn i did alot of sittin on my ass to build this map and then it dissapears, youd be pissed to
