For the second time, I'm going save my work so far, and wipe out cod4 and all the tools from my hdd. I'll reinstall and update the tools to v1.1 and update the game v1.4. (The latest 1.4/1.5 just gave me grief with more errors about even more missing stuff). Hopefully, in six months or so, the knowledge of the beta testers and mappers with the inside track to the developers at IW will be wide spread, and the rest of us will not have to embark on these convoluted internet search quests just to get a properly modded map released. 1.5 patch caused me loads of errors, such as not being able to find my minimap or loadscreen despite them being in the correct places. I reinstalled CoD4 and applied 1.4 and it works fine The custom maps work on 1.5 fine, it's just compiling them with loadscreens and minimaps will just not work. At least not yet. I am expecting a patch to fix the patch I am now copying my CoD4 folder and will update the installed one to 1.5 so I can play on our clans server, leaving me a copied 1.4 version game for me to do my mapping on.
