Has anyone tried playermodels? I opened the original arab example, set the textures and stuff, removed other LOD's (don't need them yet) but the exporter says:

Invalid Bone [J_WristTwist_LE]

I haven't changed any of the bones/joints [sad]

Ok, I opened up the stock character rig with Maya, which exported properly. But the converter says it can't find the J_spinelower bone, even though it's been exported because it's in the xmodel_export:

Hi guys. This is a first post for me here. I did some modelling for cod 2 but i am unable to get the tools to work in any of the later versions of maya. I have 7.0,8.0 and 8.5. Can anyone offer any help as this is driving me crazy. Is it possible than i cant get them working due to the fact that i am running vista 64bit. Any help would be appreciated.

well, thats a really bad description of your problem

Vista and x64, yes, that could be the problem

are you talking about CoD4 modtools? old cod2 modtools won't work with maya 7.0 and later.

Thanks Sevenz for the response. I am trying to get the cod4 maya tools working. I think i am missing the usersetup.mel. I have searched everywhere on my pc for it but it doesnt seem to be there. I am able to find it for the maya 6 i used in cod2 but not any of the other versions of maya i have installed.

You have to create usersetup.mel yourself.

Right click>New>Text Document, and rename it to the above. Then open it and stick those two lines in it.
