Is there a way to take a UO map which is PK3 format and convert it into a .map file?

You can only convert maps that you yourself have made, there is no other way to get the .map

2. PK3 is only an archivement file, bsp files are the compiled versions from .map files.
3. If you had searched the forums first, you should find 20 of those topics.

A .pk3 is not a map file anyway. It can be opened using something like Winrar, but all you will find is a bunch of folders.. In one you will find a .bsp. This is the compiled version of the .map and again cannot be converted back to an editable source

a .pk3 is like a .iwd.
in the pk3 you kan find a (map name).bsp
with a bsp to map converter you can get a .map but the problem is that cod 4 and cod 2 mod tools won't be able to open this file because it's from a older engine. I myself have succesfully got a map from a other game (stef) but i cant do it again somehow.

There is a converter that will convert CSS .bsp's to a usable .map for COD4.

There are several tools you will need. Read the 'help' document included in the download

As of this day there is no COD (any version) BSP to ANYTHING.
