First i just tried to run cod4 radiant with vista and it didnt work. So i instaled VMware and in that i instaled windows xp. I instaled cod4 and my mod tools but when i try to run them i get this error: any ideas?

Which DX is your WinXP running? CoD4 needs DX9c.

you need a graphics card that supports Shader Model 3 and dx9 thats a nvidia 7 series or higher or a ATi x1900 or higher (think thats right for the ati)

I may be wrong, but are you not running the wrong .exe you are trying to run CoDRadient.exe however as far as i know it should be CoDCompileTools.exe this is found ...Activision>Call of Duty4 - Modern Warfare>bin>CoD4CompileTools> run the CoD4CompileTools.exe then click the applications tab and Level Editor This should work on Vista, it does on mine :D

No wonder MY COD4 RADIANT didnt work. Thanx Kill3R. But I should have gotten this answer when I posted same problem except I am not using Vista but XP. Oh well.

I have geforce 8800GT so i think graphic card is not a problem. Tried the other way on xp and i get the same error. When i do this on vista i get this error:
