I followed the tut but when I went to make my first brush there was no "caulk" texture in the 3d box. I left clicked on the caulk texture and it has a red line around it showing its selected but it wont show in the 3d box. I have tryed most the other textures and can not get them to stick either. I cant figure it out! Can someone help me out on this one?

To move around the 3d window simply right click hold and drag mouse about.

You could have a low draw distance in there also.

Off the top of my head cant remember how to increase that range, soz :P

I see the wire frame in the 3d box and click it to make it red but it wont applie the texture to it.
I can right click and zoom in and out and turn the box in the 3d window. In the video the first brush he made he clicked on the caulk texture and then created a 600 by 600 box that had the caulk texture shown in the 3d window on the box. All I see in my 3d box is a wire frame that has no texture and I can not put a texture in it or on it. I am so confused!!!

Maybe your point of view is inside the box and you need to move?

Also make sure the texture is not a decal to start with

Skinned is checked. The caulk texture says just "caulk" nest to it. It is the first one in the tools textures that I picked. I zoomed into the box outta the box up and down. I can click on the seperate walls and make the turn red like they wnat to take a texture but it does not.

I have exactlly the same problem, if I find answer I will post it.

I am having a hard time believing that there are only two of us that are having this problem and no one knows whats up!! I tryed everything!!! Someone with the knowledge please help

Are you trying to apply the texture to a prefab?? If so, it wont work, you have to Enter the Prefab first, and then edit it.

this might sound stupid but I am not sure what u mean by prefab? In the tut, he click on the caulk texture and then made a 600 by 600 square that had the cualk texture on it shown in the 3d window. I do the same and there is no cualk texture in the 3d box. I can see the wire frame and can move my camera around. I can pick the walls out individualy and make them red as if it was telling me to pick a texture. Not the lines on the 2d graph, the walls in the 3d. I can click on the and turn the whole surface red of each wall but it wont take a texture. I am not sure how to take a screen shot or I would show you what I mean. It has to be something real easy cause I dont see many others with this problem.

ok, I didnt get as far as picking any prefabs. I have found that i can pick certain textures (mainly terrain) but instead of grass or mud I am looking at colored numbers in the 3d window. What do I have to set and to what do I have to set it too? It has got be something stupid. I am a noob.... yes but I do understand most of what is in front of me. I jsut cant figure out why I cant select a texture and applie it to the brush?
